Our history
Thinkpath Engineering Services was originally founded by a General Motors executive in 1977 who saw potential in the emerging CAD technology. We started by providing Mechanical Design and Technical Documentation services in the automotive industry using the first McDonald Douglas CAD systems.
Our client base quickly expanded beyond automotive and into aerospace, medical, manufacturing, and the consumer industry, to name a few. In line with this extension we also diversified our CAD packages and today we maintain most of the major CAD packages.
Some of the larger projects required TES employees to be placed at customer sites to liaise with their engineering and manufacturing departments. This resulted in some customers requesting permanent placement of TES employees to support customer projects. We saw this as an opportunity and added placement services to our offering.
TES today
Instead of following old trends, we dedicated ourselves to staying at the forefront of emerging technology. To date TES maintains four major services: Mechanical Design, CAD Services, Technical Documentation and Technical Placement.
Nearly five decades later, TES has grown tremendously and is a global leader in engineering services and solutions. Our clients come from many industries, including aerospace, automotive, defense, and healthcare. We offer several technology-based services to our customers from our headquarters in Miamisburg, OH and additional offices in Columbus, IN; St. Petersburg, FL; and Toronto, ON.
